More Than a Bar of Soap

Why AO Soap Co.

We could tell you about lather and scent notes — and we will. But what we actually care about is what happens after you open the bag. Every order gets a handwritten note. Every bar is stamped by hand. And every so often, we slip something extra in, just because.

People don't remember what they bought — they remember how you made them feel.

Olivia's Pick

This Month's Favorite

Every so often, Olivia — the "O" in AO — chooses her favorite scent of the month and tells you why. It's a small thing. But it's her business too.

Our Story

A Father, A Daughter, and a Bar of Soap

It started simple. Aaron wanted to make something real with his hands, and to build it alongside his daughter, Olivia. That's where the name comes from — AO. Not a slogan. Just the two of us.

We make our soap the old-fashioned way, with beef tallow and simple ingredients, in small batches, right here in West Texas. Nothing rushed. Nothing complicated.

Early on, we decided the soap wasn't really the point. The point is what happens after someone buys it — whether they feel like a customer, or like someone we're genuinely glad showed up. So every bar gets stamped by hand. Every order gets a note, written by us, not a template. And once in a while, when someone at the market tells us their mom is sick, or it's someone's first Mother's Day, we just add another bar to the bag. No charge. No photo. Just because.
